This is a little visitor we don’t see very often in the day out by the little pond at our house.
This is an Opossum and is North America’s only marsupial.

they sure look cute but scare the wits outta my poor dogs when they sneak into our backyard!

ReplyDeleteGreat photos, but I'd be careful. An opossum that will come out in the daylight probably isn't healthy. I'd hate to see one of your pets take ill or get attacked.

there are a few of these around here, and people seem to be freaked out by them. have no idea why.I think they are kinda cute - and certainly better behaved than raccoons!
