Caledonia!

DSC06378

Photo from downtown Caledonia, Minnesota. I see the mail carrier in route…must be a Saturday!  Though Caledonia is considered the Wild Turkey Capitol, no Wild Turkeys were seen during this trip.

Right now I think my neighborhood should take over Caledonia’s claim to fame as we have about 30 wild turkeys that hang out on my property daily.

  1. Hi Sistertex. I love the old buildings in the reflection. I don't think I ever seen a wild turkey before except in the liquer store. :)

  2. Nice reflection of Caledonia. Caledonia is the old Latin name for Scotland, but I must admit that it makes me think of B.B. King...

  3. The old brickwork is nice. The wild turkeys knocked my mother's bird feeder down. Think they better hide for a few weeks. At least until after Thanksgiving.

  4. Nice view and reflection of the buildings on the other side of the street.

    Happy weekend! :)

  5. The first thing I thought of when I saw the words "wild turkey" was booze, hee hee, and I don't drink. I like this reflection and the brick building.

By the way, your banner shot is great!!

  10. You have wild turkeys? We don't have wild turkeys!! Actually, that's not quite true, because there's someone in the village who keeps buying them at Christmas to save them from the chop, and we sometimes see them wandering about all over the road in front of her place. But wild? Nah, I think they're quite happy! LOL!
