The following photos were taken on a very cloudy day along the Mississippi River which is a major water way that Runs through Minnesota. Since ABC Wednesday is on the letter ‘R’ this week it seems like a good time to talk about a mighty River.
There are many locks and dams along the Mississippi River to make adjustments for the different levels of the River as it travels along allowing ships of many sizes to travel the River safely.
The River is also a power source.
The view along the Mississippi River on a sunny fall day is breath taking.
This is the Mississippi River and the Black River Delta.
There are also Railroad tracks and Railroad cars that transport many things that Run along the River.
Of course we can’t leave this guy out when it comes to the letter ‘R’.
