Bucky

This beautiful boy was a stray until James and Vicki found him and brought him into their home. They helped him enjoy the next several months though going through some trying medical issues. They cared not about the time and cost involved, this boy now called their home his. What a lucky boy to have found James and Vicki. No doubt they feel lucky to have found him as well. Unfortunately Bucky passed away last Wednesday and it is with a heavy heart and teary eyes I thank James and Vicki for being such selfless people and giving of themselves so Bucky could know heaven on earth, even if just for a short time. It is people like James and Vicki that make the world a better place. Bless you and yours, James and Vicki. My heart goes out to you, I am so sorry for your loss. I, for one, will never forget Bucky.  Hugs to you both.

  4. Sistertex,
What a dear you are. I want to thank you for your sweet comment about Bucky but also for this lovely homage to him. I guess one can't help but love Bucky, even if one never met him in person. He really was that special, no exaggeration. I wish so much that I had more time with him, but I'm so blessed to have known and loved him and had him in our home for the short time he was here.

This means so much to me. Thank you for your friendship.

    Hugs,
    Vicki

  5. Thank you Sistertex. There are still lots of tears here but there's also lots of happy memories. This post really means a lot to us. I was going to do a post about Bucky but every time I try the tears start flowing. I've had cats all my life but none were as sweet and nice as Bucky. I'm not just saying that because he's gone.

    Have a great weekend!

  7. We just heard about Bucky and we are so very sad. We remember when Vicki and James found Bucky and gave him a home despite some of his health issues. Bucky may be gone now, but at least the last 6 months of his life were happy ones. We send comforting purrs to everyone who is missing Bucky so very much....

  10. I missed, somehow, the beginning of this story back in October. I feel like I have just walked out of a very emotional and tender movie...pets are so special and enrich our lives so very much. How nice of James and Vicki to adopt him when the odds were not in Bucky's favor. They gave him comfort and love when a kitty needs it most. I'm so sorry the end has come, but, let's believe it is a new beginning for one special couple and their very special friend, named Bucky.♥♥♥

  11. How sad it is that Bucky passed so quickly but how glad he must have been to have found such a lovely home. To die in peace and comfort is what we all would wish for.
