The weekend of February 13th there was a 5K around Lake Como in St. Paul, Minnesota which my youngest daughter participated it. We went to cheer her on as she ran.
This was how it looked on the road as we left our house to go to the run, a rather frosty morning as it normally is in Minnesota in February.
There was a bit of a frosty fog in the air that gave the trees a flocked look and subdued the sunrise.
The participants readied to begin the run.
Daughter is center photo, white turtle neck, no hat.
Some just played in the snow and cheered the runners on.
On the first pass (they had to circle Lake Como twice).
And did I mention it was a frosty day…..
No she is not turning gray, that *is* ice on the hair and eyelashes, yet she was complaining about being too warm after the race.
Looks like fun eh? :)

That is amazing!! I really do admire her! Does make you proud doesn't it? I used to run when I was young, but that's been so long ago I can't really remember!! It was after my kids were born and it was a great way to stay/get back in shape. Great post for the day!! Hope you have a wonderful week! Stay warm!

ReplyDeleteI think it's wonderful that your daughter did the run and that you were there to cheer her on. I've never seen icy, frosty eyelashes before. It reminds me of the I Love Lucy episode where she gets stuck in the freezer.
