Another scene from a Florida Flea Market. This wall was filled with smiling suns (and in some cases moons), artwork for sale.

Photo taken while a passenger riding through downtown Minneapolis. It is a reflection in the window of the car next to me while sitting at a stop light.
It is a reflection of the historical old Milwaukee Road Depot and Freight House.
This is the street level view of the old Depot.
Part of it is enclosed for indoor activities and part is still open to the outside.

You Are Whimsical Yet Elegant |
You definitely have your own personal style, and you're one of the few people who can pull of "quirky" without being weird. You are uniquely chic, and others admire your taste. You always seem to know what's going to be in fashion next. You are creative and even a bit zany. You are willing to take risks, and your risks always seem to work out. You have a keen sense of intuition. You seem to always know how much you can push boundaries and limits. |

The weekend of February 13th there was a 5K around Lake Como in St. Paul, Minnesota which my youngest daughter participated it. We went to cheer her on as she ran.
This was how it looked on the road as we left our house to go to the run, a rather frosty morning as it normally is in Minnesota in February.
There was a bit of a frosty fog in the air that gave the trees a flocked look and subdued the sunrise.
The participants readied to begin the run.
Daughter is center photo, white turtle neck, no hat.
Some just played in the snow and cheered the runners on.
On the first pass (they had to circle Lake Como twice).
And did I mention it was a frosty day…..
No she is not turning gray, that *is* ice on the hair and eyelashes, yet she was complaining about being too warm after the race.
Looks like fun eh? :)

This photo was taken in the lobby of the Minneapolis Global Market which is now in what used to be the old downtown Sears building. The artistic endeavor winds around the support of a stairway.

Met this guy a while back while in Florida. He was hanging out with this flock and by the looks of his coloring he was not at all deficient in carotenoid pigments. Flamingos are generally a light pink to a bright red and their coloring comes from rich carotenoid pigments resources found in the algae and crustaceans they eat.
I was thinking ‘shocking pink’ for the Flamingo coloring, and there is a bit of that in the birds plumage, however these are looking pretty healthy and were more to the red side of the color wheel than pink. Never the less, I won’t be arguing with this guy! He demanded an audience and I am stepping aside to give it to him.
‘Yep, dude…you da’ man!’

The Island Cats are judging the Synchronized Snoozing competition for the Cat-O-Lympics.
We have two entries, the first for the kitties and the second for the ‘woofies’ category.
First the kitties:
The above is Fidget’s and Lemme’s entry.
This next photo would be the Hound’s entry. (Which was later banned due to the dangerous nature of the ‘double-decker’ form.)
Team members: Tyler, Shasta, and Roni with Vinni at point in the mixed teams event.
Seen outside: Not the best photo, but this guy with his smallish rack I captured crossing the road in back of my house. You have to give it a good looking over to see his antlers.
Seen inside was this sly guy (below).
That would be Fidget (above), I’m thinking he is a little bit annoyed.
This guy, Lemme, not too sure about the goings on either.
Scooter even came out into the foyer to see what was going on. Renner just stayed in hiding in the family room.
Because one minute…
And the next minute…
it has tents erected in it like a campground.
And this young man would be the camp director.
Oops….tents are down.
By the way, meet my daughters, the oldest is under the green blanket. The youngest is under the flowered blanket. :)
The camp director is my grandson who is now:
He celebrated his third birthday in style!

One of the things I find most beautiful are the soulful eyes of a retired racing Greyhound. Geterbug is no longer with us but she came to us blind and in her eyes, though sightless, her soul remained. What a lovely, lovely girl. She remains such a bright spot in my life though gone for many years.

This taken in Downtown Minneapolis where a lot seems to be going on on this corner and it isn’t even road construction season.
