Mandy!
Mandy’s is a retired racing greyhound who’s racing name was Hot Stuff Amanda. She retired a couple of months ago and has been in 4 foster homes. She is going to be 3 years old on January 1, 2011. She is a red fawn, but I do believe there is a bit of blue fawn going on, compared to my other red fawn greyhounds.
She kind of got set up improperly in some foster homes and was making quite the name for herself, having a little trouble here and there, being kind of scared and shy.
So…
she has moved in with us! We like trouble here! It always brings us the sweetest hounds ever. We are hoping that Mandy will follow in her predecessors paw prints, as we think she is a pretty good girl already. She’s a little nervous, but is doing very well.
Renner: I wagged and wagged when she came, so happy to have another greyhound friend. After Scooter passed away it was 6 months of having to take care of my humans all by myself. I’m keeping an eye on her and teaching her the ropes!

I am so, SO happy for you and Mandy! Congratulations! You have to love a girl named Hot Stuff. She looks like she's got some sable in her to me, but it's hard to tell in photos sometimes. Bunny is a blue fawn, and she looks pink out in the sunshine. When you see her up close the tips of her fur are blue, where a lot of fawns have black tips, if that helps any. It doesn't matter what color you call her, I call her gorgeous! I was hoping you'd bite the bullet again at some point. :) Congratulations again!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like my Flocko doggo and he is the very best.
Yup, you can't have just one.
Oh my gosh!! A big welcome to you, Mandy. What a lucky greyhound to leave all those foster homes and come to your loving, forever home. Renner, you're just so sweet to be so happy about her and to be teaching her.
ReplyDeleteA very safe and happy New Year to all of you!!

Hi! I'm here with the Bloghop! I've never met a greyhound before. I am so small, I think I'd be scared of them. But my mama thinks they're beautiful, and she would like to adopt one SOMEDAY when we have our own place to live! Right now we are all piled in with Gramma and Grampa, who told Mama "NO MORE FURRY FAMILY MEMBERS!"
ReplyDeleteOh! I am SO happy to see Mandy! Renner must be over the moon to have such beautiful company! His very own girlfriend. . Awww! Just so long as she doesn't fight him for his sheepskin!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I am so happy for you all and for Mandy too. What a stunning face!
Thank you for following back and stopping by the blog. Congrats on your new addition. She is absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! That is so cute that Renner got so excited when he met her. What a great way to be welcomed to the family.
