We took a family vacation there many years ago. My kids walked through the headwaters of the Mississippi. It is a beautiful place - day or night. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Just beautiful! I can almost hear the wind and maybe a mournful cry in the distance! Beautiful shot!
Thanks for the words about Lilac. I'm not sure if she's let us soak her feet. She's having a hard time standing for very long, so it would be a bit tough to do. So far we've been able to do alright with keeping it clean by bandaging it. I sometimes just wish I could bundle her up in bubble wrap.
Thanks for visiting. To answer your question: I didn't know what mine was until Mojo mentioned Osprey in his comment and I looked it up. This is what I found: "Osprey is an American multi-mission, military, tiltrotor aircraft with both a vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL), and short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability. It is designed to combine the functionality of a conventional helicopter with the long-range, high-speed cruise performance of a turboprop aircraft." That still doesn't explain why it was flying over my house since I don't live near a military base.

Beautiful night shot...I love photos with the moon...
ReplyDeleteNight shots are so eery but cool. I always wonder if there is a vampire just lurking around one of the trees.
